We really care about what we do: we only use Italian extra virgin olive oil, our pasta is freshly made, our varieties of cheese are all imported, our vegetables are organic, our cuts of meat are all top-shelf, our wine list is mostly a tribute to Italian local producers.
We are from the South, and we don’t forget that. But we would like to take You on a flavorful journey so You can enjoy bits and pieces of the broad Italian culinary tradition.
Our goal is to offer You a good time through uncompromising, genuine Italian recipes. We only ask you to be a little patient while we make them fresh: some call it “slow food”, for us it is the only way to cook.

    We love the pizza here. We had the burrata salad. Although the burrata was great, the tomatoes had no taste. Thought they would be better this time of year in Florida.

    We had reservations and got seated within 15 minutes. My pet peeve at this restaurant is that no one acknowledges you when you enter the restaurant or stand outside waiting to get in. The 4 people on staff can walk by you several times without a hello or I'll be right with you. It's the only place that this constantly happens. The food was decent and the portions were large - I prefer quality over quantity. Knowing the portions were large we had entries and no appetizers. Don't sit outside unless you want to be on the constant looks out for raccoons that come to your feet. Also the lack of heaters outside make the outdoors not comfortable when it's nippy in Feb.

    The food is exceptional. This is our favorite place on Longboat. Staff always pleasant and efficient. We have dined here often over the past few years and never had a complaint or bad experiencer I highly recommend LA Norma. You will not be disappointed.
