Since 1996 in Cruz Bay, St. John. A Favorite of locals, loyal repeats and new guests. We just moved to our new beach location as La Tapa Plage in the Wharfside Hotel Village in March of 2022, still featuring the same interesting ever changing menu including fresh local seafood, organic greens & herbs form Coral Bay, flavors with a touch of Spain & France (Basque Country), Germany and Caribbean. Our goal is to make you feel welcome, cozy and inspired by our great wines, delicious food, good service in a beautiful atmosphere. ---Open for dinner service at 5PM Friday through Wednesday. For parties larger than 6, please call the restauarant at 340-693-7755.---We will be open for Thanksgiving, but closed on Christmas Day.-**We do not have high chairs or booster seats. If you need either, we do have bench seating in the dining area that work's best for small children. Please request bench seating when making your reservation.**

Been coming to La Tappa for over a decade and last night was disappointing. Great gazpacho and bread, but apps were gone before we got our first drink. Entrees were average and had to wave the server to get a second drink when our meal was 90% done.

our experience was wonderful, the service was good, the food was eclectic and well executed. the portions were enormous. great space with terrific view and the wait staff was friendly and personable.

Absolute best view of Cruz Bay. Food was delicious. I had the fresh catch special—tuna with an avocado mousse. Wow!! One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Well worth a visit.

We love dining here and have done so for many years including the original location. Mussels were delicious as always. The dressing on the goat cheese salad (typically never disappoints) and the mahi green curry special lacked the usual flavor that has been the standard at La Tapa. We'll definitely be back and hoping it was an "off" night.

The atmosphere was great beautiful views of the bay and sounds of lapping waves. Margo our server was very knowledgeable about the food and St.John. Worth the $$$
