Since 1987, La Tomate has been Dupont Circle's neighborhood bistro, featuring affordable regional Italian cuisine in a warm ambiance.

A window-clad bar and dining room offer charming avenue views onto Connecticut avenue. Enjoy an extended season of “al fresco” dining on our lush outdoor patio.

I love dining in the bar area and on the patio. The food is consistently delicious. And they always do their best to meet your individual needs. Continues to be one of my go to places!

                                                                      First time diners. The restaurant is lovely and we had a nice seat in the window. The menus has some wonderful selections along with a list of specials and our server was very good and helped us make choices. Had a great meal with nice cocktails/wine. Will definitely return.

                                                                      Great evening. Asked for a quiet table for four, and got the quietest one in the place. Despite a bit off the beaten path, the service there was perfect. I had the Al Nero squid ink linguini and shrimp. Delicious.

                                                                      I was so pleasantly surprised eating at La Tomate. The staff were super friendly and the food was so delicious. I can't stop thinking about the spaghetti with lobster, and the caesar salad was so good. A new fav dinner spot!

                                                                      Every time we visit DC we make sure to have dinner at La Tomate near DuPont Circle my spouse had calamaro inumido which had black olives tomatoes capers I had a fresh salad with burrata for entrees pasta al Nero and I pasta with lobster both exquisite the desserts were salame di cioccolato a very decadent dessert for chocolate lovers

                                                                      A must stop whenever we’re in DC. Meal tonight was exquisite (Pollo Alla Caccatorie). The service was great, the food awesome, and the ambiance was terrific. If you’re up near DuPont Circle do not miss this place. La Tomate Bistro (19 stars)
