Open Table offered the reservation for this restaurant and once we got there La Tour did not have record of any reservations made via Open Table. This happened to many other people as well.

Beware, this restaurant does not honor reservations with open table, it uses another platform. Big problem, many people frustrated with no apologies or empathy by La Tour restaurant.

I arrived and they said they did not work with Open Table and told us they did not have a reservation. We could not eat there.

It’s a scam… they said they don’t have opentable and they didn’t try to find a table for us even after we showed we had a reservation confirmed on opentable… the manager was rude and completely unprofessional… I will never go back

La Tour refused to honor our OpenTable reservation on a very busy night in Vail. The reservation was confirmed multiple times by OpenTable, but when we arrived, the hostess merely said, "We don't take OpenTable reservations." No apologies, no offers to try to accommodate us, no coupon for a discount in the future. If La Tour does not want to work with OpenTable, they should take their name off the list, and OpenTable should likewise take La Tour off their website. I have patronized La Tour and OpenTable for years and I am very unhappy with both of them. We had to walk around town for half an hour to find an alternative place with availability. This is the first time in many years of being an OpenTable customer that I have ever been refused a reservation.

We arrived at La Tour for our reservation only to be told it was not valid. They said they were not working with OpenTable and never had but hoped to be working with them in the near future. I explained I had booked at their restaurant numerous times over the years and they continued to deny they were ever associated. I can only assume they were overbooked and decided to make up this lie to save face. I own a home in Vail and will never dine with them again and will recommend to family and friends to the same. Their complete disregard for the truth would make anyone doubt their dedication to their clients. I sent an email to the restaurant explaining the situation and never got a reply. I am extremely sad and disappointed, and frustrated not to get a reply and explanation.

A decidedly tired and unimaginative menu. The only passable items that we had were the bottle of wine and half a dozen oysters. The bread was stale, French onion soup mediocre, and the Dover sole was butchered into fish fingers. Creme brûlée came with a fiery flourish but turned out to be clumpy and grainy. Service was also laughably brutish and clumsy. Save your money and look elsewhere for a nice dinner in Vail.

The $45 steak looked good, but I couldn’t chew through the terrible cut. The waiter never checked back, so they just removed it from the bill. The rest was okay.
