    This was our second time at Lakaz Maman. Sadly, very different from the first time. Firstly, it wasn’t easy to book a table. The link from the website wasn’t working and no one answered the phone or email. I had to check Instagram and then saw tables were booked through open table. When we arrived we weren’t told immediately that half the menu was not available. Therefore, we sat there for 10mins choosing options to be then told we couldn’t have. We ordered 3 Braised mutton curries. There was probably 4 chunks of meat per curry, however the rice was plentiful but not worth £16. My son had the shredded lamb burger which was so sweet it was almost a pudding. The best meal appeared to be the children’s jackfruit burger but this came out later than the other meals. Drinks wise, my soft mojito was good. I left feeling so sad about this restaurant. Clearly, something has happened since last time but equally, customers hate feeling ripped off . Maybe it could have been helped with some explanation from the waiting staff, but there was none. They seemed a bit sad too.

    First visit in a few years. Small family gathering on a very quiet Xmas eve but considering we were the only evening booking we made the right choice. Food great, service very good, everyone impressed. Thank you Lakaz.

    Such a good restaurant, but only one person waiting tables last night, so felt that the poor waitress was a bit stretched.

    We are the only diners as we booked very early for supper. Excellent service however we’ve been twice in the last month & both visits the fish main course was unavailable which was very disappointing.
