The food was good. So many options it was hard to choose. The hotel and experience is beautiful. It is very expensive though. Fun to do once. Not sure the food was worth the price.

Brunch at the Broadmoor in the Lake Terrace room is an elegant, relaxed, leisurely treat. The view by the Lake is peaceful, people walking, taking advantage of this gorgeous late-autumn Colorado day. More than a dozen buffet stations are in view as you are escorted to your table. Fresh seafood, raw oysters on the half shell, vegetarian options, prime rib, baked ham, crepes, eggs Benedict, abundant side dishes, plus turines of simple breakfast and lunch dishes. Breads, pastries, quick breads and then humorously off to the side, as if you aren’t already full, are intricately-designed desserts of chocolates, fruits, puddings. The colors of these stations and their opulent presentation is a treat to share with visiting families. The hefty price includes limitless mimosas and champagne. Specialty adult beverages are offered at additional cost. So much of the service on the hotel grounds is abundant, alert, immediate (e.g. doormen and checkin, we didn’t stay in a room, but in the past room service also was as attentive). . Although wait staff were plentiful, we had difficulty gaining their attention to clear our tables of used plates and cutlery, a previous policy. This day, returning from trips to the buffet (plan on multiple trips), each time our table was quite cluttered. On a highly positive note, once engaged, they were, to a one, eager, cheerful, personable without being overbearing, careful as they cleared. In other words, the depth of that part of their training was clear, which provided for a delightfully quiet service with minimal interruptions to our table conversation. You have a luxurious, unhurried two-hour window to enjoy your meal. Plenty of time to eat, chat, sip, eat again, repeat. Afterwards, be sure to plan a stroll around these award-winning grounds. Freely take selfies. Even a casual snapshot will look like you staged it. Sunday brunch at the Broadmoor is a complete visual and gustatory indulgence. Worth every moment and penny.

The food was good overall, but not amazing. Nice atmosphere in the historic hotel. The prime rib and mashed potatoes were the best thing I ate. We did come specifically for the raw bar, with a 1pm seating. There was no crab left, and the handful of oysters that remained were dry and shriveled up, so we passed on those. Desserts were also good.

The biggest downfall to the brunch is that there's a tip automatically added on. We were only a party of 4. It was an $88 tip, and I what, and all four of us felt that we did not receive $88 worth of service. We had to call our server over quite often. We were a party of four and the brunch was not to full capacity so they were busy, but not as busy as they probably could have been, but all in all, I would give it a four out of five stars is that gooWe had to call our server over quite often and again. There was 4 of us and also the brunch restaurant was not to full capacity so they were busy, but not as busy as they probably could have been, but all in all, I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
