We’ve visited Lala’s several times over the past few years and this has been our best experience of all our visits. The food is always delicious and last night’s was no different. The service last night was timely. Most of all, we loved our booth and its location in the restaurant.

We had reservations. The hostess appeared overwhelmed with the place being full. One couple came in and was told full. While we were still waiting another couple was told they could sit at the bar. Stevie our server saved the day and our disappointment went away. She seated us outside which is what we requested. Nobody else was on it. So much for full? We totally enjoyed talking with Stevie and food was amazing

Our server was great, food was very good. The ikitchen was out of Salmon, which was disappointing but did not affect the evening. Thanks for a great date night!

It was just “OK”. The description of a fine dining experience is more marketing hype than reality. The pianist is a lovely touch, but when the server does not know how to properly uncork a bottle of wine (Silver Oak) and then proceeds to stuff the cork back into the bottle after opening, that helps to set expectations of what is to come. Deviled eggs were tiny (maybe they used quail eggs!), and mostly tasteless. My guess is they sat in a refrigerator all day losing any excitement they may have had when created. The goat cheese salad was excellent except we could not detect actual goat cheese. Here is the crux of this review: the food was not bad, it was just decent. That’s all it was. It reminded me of a typical Portage Lakes type of joint. Temper your expectations of a fine dining experience and you will do just fine here. And do not bother dressing up. A T-shirt and shorts seemed to go over just fine.

Lovely fine dining restaurant. Food was excellent but our server was unprofessional and should not be in this type of establishment. She turned a pleasant evening into a stressful dinner. I would go back but I would request to have a table that she does not serve!
