It is not authentic Chinese food. The waitress did not understand English and the chef does not know how to cook Chinese food. Out of 5 dishes ordered only 1 was correct and was bland. 1 did not appear at all. 2 were not what we ordered. And 1 was absolutely awful in flavour and texture. We did not complain as we knew we would not be understood. We laughed at the situation between us and the only other customer in there asked us why we were laughing at him. We told him we were not. It was all very bizarre and luckily we thought it comic and it did not ruin our evening.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants with a very sweet and friendly ambience. We tasted the signature dishes and loved each of them. We'll certainly recommend it.

I had a fantastic time at Lantern, especially with their 20% discount. The Mopo Tofu and Tom Yum Soup were incredibly flavorful and authentically Chinese, offered at a great value. The service was excellent, the welcoming, and Waitress Rita's recommendations were spot-on. Thanks

Great food - simple, high quality and a refreshing lack of too much fried! Gentle, efficient and functional service. It's unlicensed and has a £20 per person minimum order. A minimum which seems fair for lunch in London!
