Perched on the rugged coastline of Australia’s iconic Great Ocean Road is a sleepy beach side town with a new kid on the block. A 70’s beach shack has been given a new lease on life and is serving up great food and vibes in a picturesque location.

All bookings of 8 or more are required to be on our Chef Selection menu $65pp kids under 12 exempt, dietaries catered for.

Garden tables are outside & are subject to weather.

    I must say that I have been to this place several times and enjoyed the relaxed coastal vibe it has. This is largely due to the location which overlooks the Anglesea river, but also the old weatherboard building and covered veranda that comprise it. This makes it ideal to enjoy some of the yummy food, largely geared towards sharing, and accompanied by a refreshing drink. On Sundays there is the bonus of catching some fine local music as well, which on our visit featured the laidback tunes of the Beachniks. Now that is exactly how I would want to spend every Sunday afternoon.

    This place is an absolute gem! Between the killer waterfront views, house-made dishes, and quality cocktails, it’s hard to pick a favorite. The asado was perfectly grilled, full of bold flavors, and the drinks were crafted with care. And the music? It took me to a time I never lived, yet felt so nostalgic for. A dreamy escape in every sense—highly recommend!
