Contemporary local restaurant for homey dishes, cocktails & wines.
We’re a locally owned and operated restaurant that has been serving French cuisine in the Kitsilano area for a number of years.
Lavidas is a contemporary comfort restaurant serving a variety of different cuisine. Our menus are driven by local ingredients and cultural influences with fresh modern styling and molecular techniques.
We continue to serve a few of our favourites along with some new dishes inspired by PNW ingredients.
We are proud to support a diverse and inclusive workplace that supports and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and diversity in the work force. We have two gender-neutral bathrooms and are also wheelchair accessible.

We have returned to Lavidas several times and find that both the cuisine and the service are consistently excellent. A wonderful gem in our neighbourhood!

I just love this restaurant. The food is absolutely the best fresh and beautifully served. The service and communication with the hostess/server is how it should be in all restaurants just excellent. The fixed price menu is unbelievable . Catherine Whelan

Everyone enjoyed everything that was ordered, French onion soup, duck confit, salad, ceviche, seafood pasta(loved that it was piping hot when served) generous portions. Great service from Jordan!

First time visit, exceeded expectations. Jordan our server was charming and gave us great service and advice. French onion soup delicious, main of duck confit, scalloped potatoes and perfectly roasted veggies were great. Earl grey creme brûlée and the raspberry crumble lovely. Great value and they even have half price bottles of wine Wednesday’s. Going to definitely come back and tell all our friends and family. Their pre-fix menu is a great value and beats any dine out offerings! Looking forward to trying lots of other items on their menu!

Always wanted to try this local spot and it did not disappoint! We had the prix fixe menu - and everyone really enjoyed the food - it was very delicious and the portions were generous. The service was charming and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Highly recommended by a friend (a very experienced diner), Lavidas exceeded our high expectations. All three courses were delicious, ambience cosy and conversation easy with soft background music, and excellent, professional, low-key service from start to finish. A new favourite dining destination.
