This was my fourth visit to Le 9e and it never disappoints. Tonight was New Years Eve and the menu choices were perfect for myself and my guests. My guests had hangar steak, each of which was done to perfection. I had the snow crab and oyster selection , all of which were simply divine. To top it all off we had an amazing white chocolate and raspberry dessert. The ambience was perfect, as usual. We were able to hear the lovely music and we were still able to have a lovely conversation with each other at the same time. The service was impeccable . Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. What more can one ask for? We will be returning again!

3e visite, malheureusement pas la meilleure des 3. Le flétan était un peu fade, la presentation sans amour. Service somme toute ok. Mais on nous propose tout de même de laisser jusqu’à 30% de pourboire?!

I mentioned that the occasion was my wife's birthday on the reservation but nobody at the restaurant acknowledged it. Which was unfortunate considering the high level of service they offer.

Nous étions quatre et nous sommes unanimes à dire que la nourriture était délicieuse, que les portions étaient généreuses, que le service était impeccable et que le décor est magnifique. Nous y retournons.

We were there for the second time unfortunately 2 of us ordered the XL pancake and it was not fully cooked but other than that everything else was great

This is one of Montreal’s great restaurants. It is an Art Deco restaurant which first opened in 1931, and recently reopened after being closed for 25 years. Not only is the food, service, and view impeccable, but if you walk around, you will experience nearly a hundred years of history. Not to be missed.
