Unfortunately, I do not have a single positive thing to say about this restaurant. The ambience was fine and the food made it tolerable. However, the service was absolutely horrible. My husband and I were so excited to go for our last night in Paris and it was the biggest mistake. To this second, we still have no idea who our waiter/waitress was. The man who ended up helping us was quite possibly the worst server I have ever had. I had to even ask him if he was OK because he seemed to hate us being there. It was just the worst and such a disappointment. I cannot recommend it enough to NOT go.

Nous étions envahi par des nuées de très petites mouches même si nous étions à l’intérieur. De plus on ne m’a pas servi le plat commandé. Très décevant comme expérience.

Kinda strange. Definitely for an older crowd. Very quite, not crowded. Had wine and cheese with some charcuterie. Did not stay for entree’s. Wine and food were very good, vibe was not

The food was perfect and the service was good. The two negatives were 1) I had tap water but evian water was charged and I spotted from the receipt and corrected. 2) there was a fly which kept flying over my food and it was really bothering me throughout dinner. The food was delicious and would visit again.

I have been to Paris many times experiencing small neighborhood bistros to highly renowned Michelin restaurants. The ambiance at Fauchon was nice, the Manager, Alain- sophisticated and caring. The service was completely off point. Service of a lovely Chambertin wine- also off point by the Sommelier. Food was good, escargot and foie gras served with a thick crusty bread. The sea bass and guinea was nicely prepared. However the addition of popcorn to the bass was off in taste and visually unappealing, morels would have been a nice addition to the bass and eliminate the popcorn. The check came with a major discrepancy and was handled by Alain. However the staff needs a great deal of training, especially in the presentation of the dishes, attention to service, and both small and large details along with proper wine service.

Overall this was a disappointing experience. I had booked for the tea garden but was told on arrival it was closed so we sat inside. The service was extremely slow, from the inside it didn’t look overly busy but it may have been busier outside. We ordered croque monsieurs which were nice, but it would have been good to know that they came with a side salad instead of ordering a giant Caesar salad which we didn’t end up eating. For dessert we ordered the bisous cakes, which are beautiful. We ordered tea which didn’t arrive until we asked for it again, there had been a shift change and the order wasn’t placed apparently. The gentleman who looked after us from then was excellent, very attentive and apologetic.
