   We came to town to celebrate my birthday with dinner and a Broadway show. I was lucky enough to be able to get reservations, and could not possibly have been more pleased. The staff was terrific, the food was divine, and the ambiance was wonderful. The French Onion Soup starter was a true classic, and the excellent Canard (duck) a l’Orange entree was flambéed at the table for a lovely dramatic moment, followed by a sublime chocolate mousse. I will definitely return on my next trip to NYC. Magnifique!

   Exceptional French food and great service from my waiter Sonny. The bone marrow appetizer and Croque Monsieur were among the best I have ever had. This is a must do every time I visit NYC.

   Third time dining at Le Rivage pre theatre. Everyone was perfect and execute our time constrictions with plenty of time without rushing us. Each course was perfection. Cocktails, French onion soup, mussels, French onion burger, chocolate mouse and molten chocolate cake. Delicious! A particular standout was server Nicole. More than pleasant, helpful and excellent with timing our meal as well as two other couples that had similar needs. Because I preferred a less sugary dessert, she was quick to make great choices. Thank you so much Nicole A great establishment in the theatre district.

   A gem in the middle of the theatre district restaurants. The service was very attentive. Our waiter paid just the right amount of attention to us and was there when we wanted a refill. We ordered the Caesar salad, the homemade dressing was amazing. We both ordered the French onion cheeseburger. Simply outstanding. Cooked perfectly and amazing. Highly recommend. Will be returning next time we’re on our way to a show.

   Second time at Le Rivage before a Broadway matinee. Food was delicious and service attentive both visits. We didn’t have enough time to eat dessert before our show this time, so they invited us to come back and have it after the show (part of the prix fixe menu). We took them up on the offer and were welcomed warmly when we returned. I’ll be back again for sure.

   We had an amazing experience for our 27th wedding anniversary. The staff was amazing, and they all greeted us by wishing us a happy anniversary. Our waiter Jeremie was extremely professional and personable, and he recommended my desert, and it was awesome. 5 stars to Jeremie and Le Rivage. Stephen

   Fabulous experience for pre theatre, lunch, and extremely efficient staff. Courteous to a fault and overall, a wonderful experience. One of New York's dining gems. The menu for lunch was pre fix and the wine list limited, but of excellent quality for reasonable prices.

    Have been here many times, first time slightly disappointed. Started out with French onion soup. Not sure what happened with bread, was hard as a rock, couldn’t eat it. Was offered second batch but declined as already had finished half of it. I had beef dish, very good, husband had burger which he didn’t think lived up to hype. Being a little harsh with this review because used to near perfection and this time was not.

    So after always serving up perfection as soon as there’s a glitch let’s pounce and give a bad review. Sounds like we even tried to remedy the situation. As for burger I’m sure there could of been a solution as well. In your own words you’re purposely being harder on us, how is that normal? If you believe we are a 3 star restaurant let this be your last visit. The majority of our reviews speak differently.
