   Legal Sea Foods is a go to for our family! We can always count on a delicious meal! I am thankful for the gluten free options along with welcoming hosts and a very capable staff!

   Our server Sean was excellent. Efficient, and attentive, although very busy with a large table near us. He delivered great service to us.

   As always service at the bar is outstanding. What comes from the kitchen can be hit or miss depending on staffing.

   We have visited this restaurant quite often and usually found it to be good. However, there is definitely a change. The servers seemed very inexperienced, and in fact when they brought my dish to me, they handed it to me instead of setting it down and it was extremely hot and burned my fingertips. In addition, our server went into a pre-meal meeting. It appeared she was nowhere to be found. We needed to get the hostess to bring horseradish which we had requested the server to do.  it was just a subpar experience. And the mussels which was my dish were removed from the bill however that was not adequate. And a manager never even came to the table after the event. Just poor all around. Don’t rest on your laurels or you will be sorry.

   I attended this reservation only to later receive a message from OpenTable that I no showed. This is particularly disappointing for someone who doesn't use OpenTable very often.

   Our food was delicious, well prepared with lovely presentation. We were celebrating our anniversary and had let the restaurant know in advance. We were very disappointed that Legal's does not comp dessert for birthdays or anniversaries.

   Sad so many of the staple items have been removed since they sold this place to a corporation. No lump crab cocktail anymore. No oysters legal which was one of their most popular appetizers. Oh well. Decent seafood overall but wish they didn’t change so much that has been so popular for decades. Service was great at the bar as always - Jeff is a superstar.

    In summary -- We ordered the ceviche and it wasn't, lasted like oily raw onions with over-cooked shrimp. The lobster bisque was more like chowder but tasted ok. The french fries were greasy and undercooked. It was closer to friendies than fine dining but it wasn't inexpensive. I have been going to Legals for many many years and it goes up and down. After they were aquired, it went down. Loster roll was more salt than lobster. But it came back. But today was a very sad day. The staff were lovely, not their fault. I get the feeling the chef's aren't -- maybe they are working off some corporate cooking sheet, maybe they saved money by mass producing certain items. We told the manager the ceviche 'wasn't' and she said it was 'Legal's ceviche'. She ain't the cook, and the staff were attentive and professional. That's it.
