My daughter and I had a wonderful meal and outstanding service by our server Allie. The drinks were made to perfection. We shared the lobster bisque and ravioli as appetizers and they were fabulous!! The meal was equally delicious. The dining rooms were beautifully decorated and very calming. Will definitely return when I’m back in the area

When an area power outage affected original birthday dinner plans, we pivoted to Lionne at The Nittany Lion Inn. In short, any disappointment rendered by Mother Nature was completely erased by the exemplary service, food, and overall experience the two of us enjoyed at Lionne. After we were seated, our server kindly greeted us, extended birthday wishes to my wife, and shared the specials. Throughout this well-paced meal, our server offered suggestions and answered questions. We ordered the lobster bisque, filet mignon, chicken breast, chai tea cheesecake, and apple pomegranate crisp. In the end, we did not leave a morsel, and my wife - a proud Penn State alumna - was thrilled that the turn of events resulted in an amazing meal for a fair value on the campus of her alma mater. Great job.

Birthday but no celebration or cake, service personnnice but everything was so slow - food and drinks slow and food especially slow, and unremarkable and expensive. Will not return.

The food was excellent and our entrees ranged from venison, veal chop, salmon and duck salad. All of us agreed that the entrees were great. One ordered a soup appetizer that came lukewarm and sent it back to be reheated. It came back hot and delicious. the problem was poor service. We chose not to sit at the reserved table because of access problems and were seated at a different table. No one seemed to know who would wait on us and we sat for a long time before anyone came. Ordered drinks and food and the food started coming before the drinks, the table had been set for 3 and we had to ask for a 4th setting. finally, after a long wait the drinks finally came and they were fine. The servers and waiters need training drink orders were served to the wrong people and the same happened to the meals, separate check requests were forgotten by staff. A complaint brought several supervisors who apologized, but service never really improved. An order of wine never appeared until we complained again. A high quality dining experience was ruined by bad service.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we’re truly sorry we fell short during what should have been a special evening. We understand how frustrating it is when service doesn't meet expectations, especially at a place meant to deliver a memorable experience. While apologies can’t undo the evening, we’d sincerely appreciate the opportunity to welcome you back and provide the level of service and hospitality you rightfully expected. Please allow us the chance to make things right and turn your next visit into the experience you originally hoped for.

Good food in nice location. Menu was limited, appetizers were not appealing and not shareable, maybe add a charcuterie board. Desserts limited and unappealing. Steak and Veal chop were great. Service and drinks top notch.

I would have liked for the food to be more adventurous and creative. While the food was "good," I expected, with those prices, for it to be outstanding, and for the flavors to pop.
