   My husband and I had lunch today. Food arrived quickly and was well presented and served. As usual it tasted very good. Service was great with the waiters constantly filling our water glasses. Although we have been many times it is still nice to hear about the different sauces.

   This was our first visit to little bird dim sum and we enjoyed it immensely It was very relaxing, the food was excellent and the service was great. The egg tarts were the best we’ve ever had. So delicious Will definitely go again.

   Not your average din sum resto and I am so happy it wasn't! Everything brought to our table was outstanding and after the first few bites we could taste why Little Bird has earned all its accolades. And, please leave room for the desserts... the sesame matcha ball was out of this world. Loved the crispy coating, lightly sweetened sesame paste and the warm matcha center. Wow! The service was smooth, friendly and offered great advice adding to the overall experience on a snowy night. Big thanks to the waitstaff and the crew making magic happen in the clouds of steam in the kitchen. Next time in Van, we will be coming back!

    This was our third visit to Little Bird. If you're not GF intolerant, I still heartily recommend it. I've loved it on the previous two visits (second time I brought a group) but this time was disappointed. My 4* ratings (instead of 5*) are entirely due to the menu now having fewer gluten free items than previous. Service is still great; it's still has a fun vibe, but food-wise it's now very limited for celiacs like me. I was looking forward to re-ordering sticky rice, a sesame ball dessert...both of which had been rated gluten free in past visits. Now Little Bird is offering three gluten free menu items only -- all fried. All good, no question, but not a great meal. Maybe it's hard for restaurants to use GF soy sauce instead of regular soy sauce (which contains wheat), but having discovered Little Bird originally as a rare opportunity to enjoy gluten free dim sum, I'm sad for the change.
