My wife and I had an absolutely mediocre, unsatisfying dinner at Little Ruby's East Village last night, and we won't be going back. I had the Ruby's Ragu ("slow braised beef short rib, pappardelle, pecorino, burrata." Sounds great, right? Well the food I was served was VERY close in flavor to the canned Chef Boyardee Beefaroni I used to eat when I was 6. Which is to say, extremely bland. And my House Salad ($8) was exactly 3 small pieces of bib lettuce with a little dressing. Really? No other veggies in the kitchen? And my wife had the "Crispy Rice Bowl," with add ons of grilled chicken and avocado. With the add ons this dish came to $30, and it was basically a salad with a thimble-ful of chicken and avocado- very disappointing. So $100 later (with no drinks) we left hungry and disappointed, glad to get out of this very noisy, tight space. Maybe it's better for brunch- but I don't think we're going to find that out. (BTW the employees were very nice.)

Everything felt very rushed , we were in and out with 45 mins because they literally made us pay while we were still eating. Food was good but nothing to write home about, quite like warm

We had an early reservation before going to a show. The place was empty and they wouldn’t seat us until whole party had arrived, which was within 5-10 minutes… Served wine that had gone bad, side plates were stuck together (dirty!?!) getting the servers attention was an endeavor. Food was ok but service was awful.

Food was totally fine. Service sucked. Cold, impersonal, and glib. We were there just one hour. They clearly needed the table so they made no secret to push us out. We’ve been to restaurants where they tell you at the beginning we have 90 minutes. This place didn’t. Instead, they just clear our plates the moment the last bite went in. One of our party was still eating their fries and they removed it right from under him. Highly NOT recommended

The avo toast was tasty, but the bread is honestly ridiculously small, especially for the price. Most cafes will do large slices of sourdough,so this didn't compare. Very noisy indoors too.

The biggest issue was the noise level. There is no soundproofing so everyone is screaming over the music. Food was good, portions not large.

Food is great! It isn't an open bar so you have to choose the cocktails on the menu but other than that we had a great time! We also had an extra person join our large party and they were able to accommodate us with no issue.

Breakfast burrito was delicious. A bit on the small side but the combo of ingredients was well balanced and flavorful. The cappuccino was fantastic as well, really good espresso used. Honestly one of the best cappuccinos I’ve have in a while. Nice ambiance too, but a bit on the loud side with the music.
