Ambler's patio is becoming the ultimate Texas party spot! Join us every Saturday for chef-driven grilled specials with a Texas twist. Watch Chef Mike Collins and his culinary team cook dinner right in front you cowboy style using traditional cast iron cooking methods.

Experience mesquite-smoked specialties and a Texas-themed ambiance, complete with live country music with the San Antonio River as the backdrop. And here's the kicker – our portions are as big as the Lone Star State! Ingredients are sourced locally. Guests can choose an entree and expect large portions of sides, biscuits and more served family style. Valet parking is included. Beautiful view of the river and nice live country music at the Saturday night live fire dinner show. Food just kept coming out😊 and everything was delivered hot and fresh including the corn, macaroni and potatoes and even chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. I had the steak 🥩 and it was cooked perfectly as i ordered it. My girl had the red snapper with mango salsa and she loved it

This was one the best dinner experiences we have had in San Antonio on the Riverwalk! The live music and the cooking on the patio were amazing! Highly recommend this!

I was pretty disappointed in our experience. From the description I read before we reserved it sounded like this was a fun experience, but what it really was was just a regular dinner on the patio. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth the cost. There were no fans to move any air around, so the setting was hot and not very comfortable. Their payment processor was down, so I had to pay in cash. But most disappointing of all, just before they put our steaks on the grill someone squirted lighter fluid all over the fire, which cleared our entire table of people off the patio because of the overwhelming smell. And what was even worse was this left our $130 steaks tasting of lighter fluid. Recommend you keep looking if you want a good experience on the riverwalk.

Not cheap by any stretch but amazing food and fantastic margaritas. The steak is top notch and the Mac and cheese to die for. Super cool concept. Really enjoyed it.

Very nice venue very attractive very expensive The food was very good prefix meal but $130 for a steak seem like a lot. The ambience is to die for live music right on the Riverwalk great people watching.

Hands down, one of the best experiences I’ve had with food on the River Walk. I don’t know where else you can see your food cooked in front of you with amazing views. The ambience was great, especially with the live music. The food was incredible. I’ve never had a steak that was so moist and full of flavor. Don’t get me started on the biscuits. The portions were huge and I really felt like I got way more than I paid for. Great value. One of the things that stood out to me, besides the food of course, was the service. Our server was Taylor. She did an amazing job and was able to walk us through the menu. I’m a huge foodie and very opinionated…..I would definitely come back here.

As noted in the star rating the food and ambiance was perfect but flawed by poor service. Waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged by server for a drink. Then explain we are waiting on a third. 2x they attempted to take our order when the third hadn’t yet arrived. Worst sin is that plates were not cleared between courses. Table is small and full of plates and they arrive with the next course and kind of stand there hoping we will make room Doesn’t seem like there was any real training
