Wonderful food and fabulous service. The prosciutto and arugula flatbread was beyond amazing with freshly sliced prosciutto along with the pastry tray…

Celebrating an anniversary (noted on RSVP) and we live close enough to watch the transformation from the former wine bar to Lombardi, so we were also looking to see if we could add this restaurant to our local rotation. Seated near the wine wall & note you will be close enough to hear your neighbors eating & conversation. Ask for a booth for more privacy. A bit of a wait for our server, while assistant servers held water & stared at us. There is enough wait staff to clearly keep all guests taken care of, but there is clearly some kind of hierarchy, because once our waiter came, then we were given water while we waited for drinks. There appears to be a sommelier, because he came to our neighbors table to offer some suggestions. Perhaps the sommelier should offer services to all tables? After drinks arrived, a board of bread also arrived with red sauce, & 4 olives. Bread board was a miss to be blunt. Bread had some season on it, yet no real taste & the red sauce was also meh, like purred canned tomatoes. One pc of bread with a smear of red sauce shared between us was enough, we set that aside. Next, came the Fritter Di Mare appetizer & we found this to be a solid choice with enough to share for 4 people. Server returned to clear table, including crumbs & remove the uneaten bread. The kitchen should be noticing how much bread is coming back uneaten & get a clue-bc other tables were also leaving their bread untouched. 2nd round of drinks, my first glass of Sauvignon Blanc was flat, which the server then suggested a California, I asked for a Sancerre which he brought he offered a taste, but I just had him finish the pour. No tap beers. Next without a word, came a person with the table for my entre, Tagliolini Tartufo, which is prepared table side. Finished preparing and set my dinner down. Then came the awkward wait for my dinner partners steak. Asked another waiter to find the steak which was then finally brought out. Decent food, comp'd the olive cake desert. Meh.

Had a reservation for 8 p.m. didn’t get a table until 8:40. A couple came in after us and got priority seating. Hostess is arrogant. Will not be back.

The service at lunch was sooooo slow. And the restaurant was only about 50% full. Our waitress was okay. There were 4 in our party and we all ordered the business 3 course lunch. The salads came out quickly but the entrees took forever. Our waitress never said anything about the long delay and she wasn’t accommodating when we asked for no sauce on the salmon “no, not possible” and asked to order a side of pasta to go with entree or swap out potatoes for pasta “no, not possible”.

My husband and I came to Lombardi for the first time last night and loved it! The eggplant appetizer was so good and different. The spicy rigatoni was chefs kiss and I loved the braised lamb ravioli. For dessert, we got the pistachio tiramisu and it was delicious. Would definitely come here again!

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service we received during our recent visit to your establishment. While we ultimately enjoyed the food and appreciated the efforts of one of your managers, Angelo, the treatment we experienced upon arrival and throughout our initial interactions was unacceptable, especially for a high-end restaurant. Our reservations were for 8:00 PM, but we were not seated until 8:45 PM without any reasonable explanation and told us reservations didn’t mean we would get seated at that time. And ruined our surprise dinner for my friend. Adding to our frustration, one manager not only refused to allow us to sit because one of our friends was wearing scrubs (despite not staying for the meal), but also raised their voice at us, creating an unnecessarily hostile and embarrassing scene. The female hostesses further exacerbated the situation with unwelcoming attitudes, leaving us feeling disrespected and unwelcome. Angelo’s efforts to de-escalate the situation were commendable. He went out of his way to check in on us multiple times and even provided a complimentary bottle of champagne, which helped to salvage what was an otherwise upsetting experience. Angelo informed us that the initial manager would apologize for their behavior, but unfortunately, the damage had already been done. It is deeply disappointing that our experience at such a reputable establishment began with such poor treatment and delays. While the food was excellent and Angelo’s professionalism was greatly appreciated, the initial service left a lasting negative impression. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and used to improve staff training and customer service standards. Guests should feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive, and incidents like this should not occur, particularly at a restaurant of your caliber. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
