Review summary

Longleaf Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience nestled within the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. With "excellent food" and a "gorgeous setting," it's a favorite for garden visitors. While the menu is limited, dishes like the spiced chickpea flatbread shine. The service is attentive, though sometimes slow, and outdoor seating provides a "beautiful view" of the gardens.

I've been to Longleaf several times and this was my worst experience. They were out of many dishes so I settled for a cheeseburger. I was told they cannot use any of the real cheeses in the kitchen and I would have to settle for either American or nothing. Most of the food that was served was also over-salted.

We were greeted promptly by the maître d' and he was very kind and accommodated our outdoor seating request. Maddie, our server, was amazing! Super friendly, very helpful recommendations, and outstanding service! The food and wine selections were excellent, as well! Highly recommend! :-)

We had a delightful experience here. The service was superb, the food was really great and the people watching was top-notch. For a very nice restaurant inside of a tourist attraction in ATL we thought the prices were good. For two apps that were filling enough to be dinner and two glasses of good wine we were under $100 with tip.

Ordered two salads of them the lettuce had not been washed thoroughly and it was gritty and the server did nothing to address the situation

I have frequented Long Leaf at each visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I hate to say this but this year would probably be the last time-unless there is a menu change. This is no reflection on our wonderful server-she was excellent. To put it plainly-the food has become really weird. And it tasted weird to match the menu choices. With the exception of the harvest salad, there was not another appealling item listed. I had the LongLeaf cheesburger which turned out to be salty over cooked and did not taste like beef. For a 10$ upcharge, I could choose another vegetable as a substitute for the fries. I opted not to have the fries that it came with or another veggie. My friend had the Harvest Salad with salmon added. The salmon also tasted weird which could not even be remedied with teh squeeze of a lemon slice. Trust me, we tried. Please stop trying to do such over the top fancy food-have some basic items on the menu as there have been in the past. This experience was a sad disappointment.

The fish and chips were fine. The salt and vinegar fries were great. The duck confit dish was just ok. The chocolate cake and rice pudding desserts were pretty bland. Otherwise the ambiance was nice and service was good.

Usually we love Longleaf, but we had a rather poor experience this evening with undercooked kids chicken tenders, a bland risotto dish and extremely tough lobster. The service was great as always, and the ambience remains exceptional, but they were off tonight.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. Enjoyed the caviar, octopus, squid and clam pasta, hazelnut chocolate cake. Everything was deliberate and well executed. Bold flavors and thoughtful presentation. Met the chef and front of house manager…both women are dedicated and gems of the industry. As a retired fine dining chef, this experience was top tier. Will be back with family and friends.
