   Amazing food, ambience and views. The service was horrible, never explained menu nor charcuterie board selection, didn’t offer new plates, never presented desert cart and waiter never came by after 30 minutes. My wife had to ask the GM to bring our bill, we thought our waiter either quit or died! Absolutely ridiculous service especially for an upscale resort restaurant. The

   The restaurant was very nice. Outdoor seating and the view was amazing! The food choices were very slim. Two of the salads featured kale, which we don’t really like. The other couple choices were too spicy. Overall, not a good food experience.

   Had breakfast/brunch at Lorea. The restaurant has a beautiful patio with heaters (for cooler weather). Service and food was good. Recommend the apple pull bread and the french toast, for something different with a twist.

   The food, and even the specialty drinks were very bland. We had the pork chop and blackened cod, which were lightly seasoned at best. The chop was overcooked which also lessoned the flavor. The service was excellent.

   A Missed Opportunity for Excellence I really wanted to love Lorea Restaurant. Its location is perfect, with the convenience of being walking distance from my home and boasting stunning ocean views and a great ambiance. However, my experiences, especially during my birthday celebration last night, have left me disappointed and hesitant to return. During my latest visit, the service was nothing short of a nightmare. After sitting at our table for 22 minutes without any attention, I had to get up and find the manager. To his credit, he was extremely kind and accommodating, taking our order immediately and ensuring the food came out quickly as we were on a tight schedule to make it to a show. Unfortunately, this brief moment of attentiveness was not echoed by our server, who never checked back once—not to refill our drinks or see if we needed anything. At the end of the meal, I had to get up again to request the bill and hand my credit card directly to the manager. While I appreciated his gesture of comping the valet parking, the lack of basic service left a sour taste in what should have been a celebratory evening. As a former server myself, I understand the challenges of the job and still left a 20% tip on our $160 bill for a party of two, but the service fell well below the standards expected of a high-end restaurant. To be fair, the food was good, and I understand I’m paying for hotel resort prices. But great food isn’t enough to make up for poor service—especially when this restaurant has the potential to be so much more. It could easily rise above being just another restaurant in Huntington Beach and become a standout destination. I genuinely hope executive management of the Pasea Hotel reads this review and takes active—not reactive—measures to address these issues. Lorea has so much potential, but until service improves, I don’t see myself returning. It’s truly sad because I wanted to love this place.

   Food and ambiance was excellent! Table service was great. Wait time for drinks at the bar was a little too long IMO. We ordered drinks at the bar and when we got sat at the table. Bartender missed an ingredient in the Old Fashions we ordered. Waiter was kind enough to take those off our bill and the new ones were perfect.

    We went for a Thanksgiving experience and it did not taste well - burned sprouts, dry cold potato, tasteless turkey, dark meat with a fish taste. The worst part was the manager who was openly indifferent to our concern - half of the 8 people company was still waiting for 90 minutes while the other half had their food served long ago - and it was all set menu. The way it was arranged was also frustrating - looked like a dump pit instead of a Thanksgiving meal. Really frustrating.
