   I had a expresso martini which is literally a glass of baileys. When it’s served, I asked the waiter why it’s cream color, the waiter said “that’s the color of expresso martini”. I took a sip then sent it back. It’s pretty disappointing. You will not expect this happening in a restaurant this level.

   I gave three stars primarily because of the inadequate service. Food was excellent and it was very enjoyable sitting outside. When the female server first approached me and instead of extending some greetings, she abruptly said "what do you want to drink?" After she brought me the drink, she said "ready to order?" instead of, say, introducing the menu or asking if we have any questions. Throughout the whole meal, asking me what to drink and what to order was about it. We both thought that this service level was inadequate. Otherwise, we would have rated a five. Again, food was outstanding and the drinks were great too.

   Service was not great!! Food was overcooked and unappealing looking on the plate. It was also cold. Restaurant decor is nice, but don’t go there for good food at good service.

   I asked for one of the private booths upfront in the open table reservation. We arrived at 5:20pm reservation ND THE HOSTESS SAID THEY HAD NO BOOTHS. I told her I requested one in writing. She said they let 2 people from the bar have one of the booths. They offered us a table in the back across from a party of 12 people. She said the only available table was at the front door at a high top table which we took. It was very noisy with non- stop people coming through. VERY UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE AND PROBLEM SOLVING! Please teach your staff the meaning of customer service and reservations! This was a VERY UNSATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE!

   Hi, Thank you for reaching out, and I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience last night. I completely understand your frustration and disappointment, especially when you made a written request for a booth and were not accommodated. Unfortunately, our three front booths are in high demand and often reserved as far as three weeks in advance, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings. While there is an option to specifically book a booth through OpenTable, once those slots are taken, our system no longer allows additional booth requests to be guaranteed—though guests often still note it in their comments. This creates occasional challenges for our host team, who do their best to accommodate preferences while juggling limited availability, 800 CHARTER LIMIT....continued in private

   The food quality was mediocre. We got Risotto and the rice was jasmine or basmati rice not arborio. It tasted like just butter and rice with no other flavors at all. The Salmon was pretty dry and a bit overcooked. Coming to wine, all wines on the list were extremely overpriced. A glass costs $28? How is that acceptable? There are plenty of good wine bars and restaurants around that sell it for almost half for very good wine from Bordeaux, Left bank and excellent Italian appellations. When asked for a bag for wine bottle, we were denied one. Terrible service. We left unhappy and hungry and went to nearby restaurant to complete our dinner. Terrible experience, please avoid this restaurant if possible.

We’ve had great responses to both the risotto and salmon in the past, so it's disappointing to hear they missed the mark. We’ll be reviewing both with our kitchen team to ensure quality and consistency. I understand your frustration with wine pricing—while we offer some premium pours, we’ll be re-evaluating our by-the-glass selections. We also typically provide bags for unfinished bottles, and I apologize if that was overlooked. Most of all, I’m sorry you left hungry and unhappy.    This was my first experience at Los Gatos Parkside and it was fabulous! Therese, who served us, was exceptional and made every part of our dining experience wonderful. There were many involved in serving and they were all so helpful, kind and added to our dining experience! It was a huge celebration for me and she enhanced it. The food was delicious, well prepared with a beautiful presentation. We shared the crab cakes, light and very fresh– the best I've ever had – the avocado bruschetta, a very innovative combination on excellent bread, and the salmon – the horseradish made the dish exceptional! We ended with the perfect dessert – the best beignets ever! Thank you to all!!!!
