Incredible food and casual & cool authentic mid century setting. What more does one need?! Best fried chicken, burger, Brussels, kale salad and “Florinado” cocktail ever!! If you like the food on the menu, you will not be disappointed.

Just discovered Lost Property at the stylish new Skylark Hotel. Chef Brandon Kida brings his "Coastal American fare" vision to Palm Springs, but here's the story: The $25 gyoza (yes, four tiny pieces) delivered sophisticated flavors in a deconstructed presentation—limp filling with crunchy topping that didn't quite harmonize. The Brussels sprouts ($9)? Now that's value—charred edges, bright lemon notes, generous portion. My burger ($21) was good, not life-changing, though those lacy edges made me smile. Decent fries. My friend's fried chicken ($21)—two juicy thighs with that curious powdery crust that separated from the meat—felt like an experiment that almost worked. Our pink Flora Dora was pretty but ice-heavy. What strikes me is the menu's identity crisis—caught between fancy tinned seafood with all the accoutrements and roadside classics. Your home should tell your story, and this restaurant needs to decide what story it's telling. I'd love to see them embrace their mid-century motel roots with elevated country club classics—champagne, fried chicken with caviar, perfect Cobb salad. We'll absolutely return, though, because beneath the confusion is something promising.

food was very good and is a cute setting… But it would've been a lot better if the waiter hadn't messed up my order and brought me the wrong dish… He asked me when he served it if it was the right one! it took about 10 or 15 minutes to remake it while my companion ate breakfast alone… I have to say there was no apology or any offer to make amends. I might come back here, but I think I would be making sure that the waiter had my order right it's really not that hard. It's just one breakfast order.
