We had a 8:30 pm dinner reservation on a Friday night which was Valentine’s Day. We tried calling the restaurant multiple times on our way (we were driving 45 min) to let them know it we were running a little late, and we sent a message via the open table app as well. I called multiple times but was only left with voicemail but voicemail was recording was from the previous restaurant and a different name which was really confusing. We figured they were so busy being valentines night they couldn’t pick up the phone so we carried on to the restaurant. Initially finding the restaurant was challenging and confusing because there was no sign for the name of the restaurant on the awning or door. No signage outside. When we entered the restaurant, it was stark, with bright lights and looked more like an office space than a restaurant. One couple sat a 2-top blankly sitting there seemingly waiting for something. We went to the hostess stand when the hostess unexpectedly told us, “We’re closed.” It was now 9:00 pm. We were so confused. I told her we had a reservation and how I had called a few times on our way but no one picked up. The hostess sheepishly explained they had run out of all of their food and the whole night of service was a bit of a nightmare with many things gone wrong. We were perhaps spared a bad dinner and the lackluster ambiance and atmosphere itself made us realize we likely won’t go back to actually taste their food. The place is not, cozy, obviously completely disorganized with not being able to achieve the professional basics, much less obviously unprepared for a Friday night of dinner service on Valentine’s Day. My sense is that this new restaurant is not ready to be open, struggled with management and may not survive long enough to get to the other side. But a sign and a voice message machine that correctly states your current restaurant might be a food place for them to start. 🤦‍♀️

My husband and I finally had the opportunity to dine here tonight. We are wildly disappointed. Bright lights, and noisy, like dining at the airport. Terrible, flaky staff. Had to ask for silverware, ask for our drinks multiple times, waited an hour for cold risotto and a salad. Oh, we had hummus too, no flavor but we ate it because we were so hungry. Some people got rolls and butter, we were not offered any. The manager visited the table next to us four times…they had waited 10 minutes longer than us……free drinks and dessert for them, not even a hello to us! If you want to feel invisible and wait over an hour for ok food, give it a try! I’m so flipping disappointed!

The hangar steaks that we had were delicious- although a bit too much strong sauce for my taste. Too many frites. Would like to have had a vegetable instead of huge pile of fries. Our server neglected to tell us the special - ribeye steak, which my husband and I would have definitely chosen. And how could you be all out of one of your dessert options: the skillet cinnamon roll? Especially on Valentines Day!!

This is our first time eating at this restaurant since it changed hands and name. We always enjoyed our dining experience when it was Luca's and this time was just as good.

Great tasting food and excellent service. The only issue was with the small serving of short ribs that could have been larger. Bread with the meal would have also been nice, but overall, a great experience. We will be back.

We had an amazing dinner and such a fun night! The place was packed, the menu was unique and delicious. The servers had positive personalities, which made the night even more memorable. I am so excited they are going to be offering brunch on Saturdays and Sundays! Can’t wait to go back. Yum!

Great menu options, the clothesline bacon is the best. Service and atmosphere is great. Our server was attentive. I'm glad they relaunched this restaurant and theme. We loved all the attention to detail from decor, plating presentation, cocktails and experience. We will definitely be back, soon. We're excited to try other items on the menu!

It was opening weekend for this new restaurant in Keene, so they are probably still working out the kinks. The clothesline bacon was an interesting and dramatic appetizer, but overall the food was just OK. It was also surprising to see the old Luca’s sign still on the side of the awning out front and no sign for the restaurant. The area that used to be the bar is what you see when you first walk in, and now it is a barren space being used to stack glass racks from the dishwasher! Not very attractive. this place has a little work to do before I would consider going back.

Thank you for visiting us during our opening weekend and sharing your feedback. The old sign was removed weeks ago, but a small marking from the previous restaurant remains as it’s embedded in the awning fabric. A new awning is on the way, though it takes 8-12 weeks to produce and install. Regarding the bar area, it is absolutely not used for glass storage, though some may have been temporarily placed there on our first night. We appreciate your patience as we settle in and refine every detail, and we hope you’ll give us the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.

My partner and I visited during the Tavern’s soft opening and had a wonderful experience. We sat at the bar and ordered 4 different apps , mussels, beet salad, crab cakes & fried deviled eggs, which were all delicious along with the cocktails and wine. If you want to have a great experience away from “pub fare”visit the Tavern for new and delicious apps and entrees. We are looking forward to returning with friends.

A friend and I had a really nice time at the soft opening of Town Square Tavern the other night. The expansion beyond what was Luca's into the old Pho Keene Great spot allows for a stylish and still comfortable bar room. There was a small crowd enjoying themselves too and we were still able to comfortably carry on a conversation the whole time. Exec Op Manager, Chris Bonnivier, was a gracious host and let us sample clothesline bacon which has the most interesting presentation including a blow torch. Very flavorful. Along with our cocktails, we ordered a series of apps that were all delicious. I loved how much actual lobster flavor there was in the dumplings. The menu has plenty of interesting options, all priced about the same you'll spend in many downtown places. This doesn't have to be just for special occasions. I'll be back soon!
