We had high hopes for Luci but left utterly disappointed. After a long 13-hour day, we arrived a few minutes late for our 8:45 PM reservation, only to be met with unnecessary hostility and skepticism about its validity. Not exactly the warm welcome we were hoping for. We sat for 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, only to then be rushed through the process because the staff clearly wanted to wrap things up early. The food? A disaster. It was blatantly microwaved, with uneven hot spots throughout the dish—truly unacceptable for the prices they charge. The bread basket, instead of being fresh and warm, was served chilled. To make matters worse, no one even bothered to ask how the meal was. The lack of basic courtesy and attention was astonishing. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. Save your time, money, and energy—Luci is absolutely not worth it.

Loved being at Luci but expensive. Starters good but pricey at around £15 each. Mains disappointing, though more reasonably priced. Veg extra. Desert outstanding and well priced. None of the hot dishes were hot. Would we return? Possibly, as Luci is in a good location.

I booked 4:45pm so we could have afternoon tea. There was nothing on their website to say afternoon tea had to be booked in advance or that the restaurant needed to be notified that we wanted afternoon tea. I booked this 2 months in advance as a present and yet they said we couldn’t have the afternoon tea. First they said they no longer do afternoon tea but I showed them on the website that it’s still on there, and I showed them how I booked it through open table. Eventually they agreed to serve us afternoon tea but that it wouldn’t be exactly the same as the menu. I asked for an iced latte, they bought me a hot latte but I felt I’d complained enough already so I drank it without comment. The food was wonderful - we especially liked the Italian savoury selection and the hazelnut puff dessert. The restaurant was very hot but had a nice buzzy atmosphere. It’s just a shame that our special experience was spoiled from the start. I appreciated that the staff did their best for us, though.

I have never had a waiter that reluctantly took out food order and then instead of bringing anything went on break to eat his food at the bar. We could see him - 35 minutes for bread. Never got out appetizers- It was a terrible experience on my birthday.

Went for pizza and salads to share between thee of us and were directed to the upstairs restaurant. It had a nice atmosphere, we had a great table overlooking the street, and staff were helpful and friendly. But there were two problems. We needed to use the lift which was through a kitchen area and only wheelchair accessible after moving things around. The staff were very helpful but it was quite time consuming and made us feel like the poor relations. The second problem was that we could only order pizza from the downstairs menu and everything else had to be ordered from the upstairs menu. This is what we did, asking for it all to be served together. Unfortunately the pizza came and was eaten ten minutes before the side dishes arrived. We complained and the side dishes were taken off the bill which was fair enough. But how absurd offering two menus and not being able to coordinate timing between the two. Even more so as you can’t order a balanced meal from one of the menus. The food was good and if not for these issues I would give 4 stars.

Chichi served us and she is very professional and friendly however the good portions are so small compared to the prices. We thought it was a rip off but the atmosphere was lovely and we liked the venue. We might visit again.
