Dumpling enthusiasts and champagne lovers alike can indulge in in the elevated, yet unpretentious fine-dining experience offered in this sexy, and intimate underground hideaway. The menu honors Cantonese classics with dishes like Xiaolongbao and Char Siu Bao, while creative offerings such as Foie Gras Blackberry Dumplings with Brown Butter Miso Crumb showcase culinary innovation in this celebration of Chinese American fare. A deep champagne and wine list complements the menu, and at the 14-seat Pink Italian Stone bar, classic cocktails are shaken up with unique spice combinations and Asian-produced liquors, like a Manhattan riff “Doyer’s Street” made with Chinese five-spice infused Bourbon and Fernet Michaud from Portland, ME
Note: Table reservation durations: 1.5 hours for parties of two, 2 hours for parties of 4 or more. Walk-in seats are available at the bar.

Lucky cheetahs ambience is impeccable. Not only a fun experience but delicious food and drinks. My favorite was the lucky martini and the lobster lo mein. Highly recommend going here!

It's Nouvea Asian meets Maine...fois gras and blackberry dumplings, spicy (not very) lobster Lo Mein, shrimp & scallop dumplings to name a few...all very tasty. Very decent wine & cocktail list...a bit pricey compared to our other fav Asian restaurant, Empire on Congress

The drinks were very good. It took a long time (about 25 min to get our first round). The food was good but the small plates are pricey. I recommend the oxtail noodle large plate for better value. I would recommend this restaurant for cocktails and a light meal but not for a full dinner experience.

The food isn’t just underwhelming, it’s bad.
The space is nice and the service is friendly but the food is horrible. Not a drop of liquid in the soup dumplings, the rose was so salty it was inedible, pork wontons were under and overcooked at the same time. Drinks were fine, not noteworthy. I cannot believe I gave them over $100 for that meal. We had to go to another restaurant after because we left so hungry. Don’t waste your money.

I want to move to Portland just so I can frequent The Lucky Cheetah. The decor was stunning and the seating was so comfortable. The ambience itself was just perfect. The playlist was something I would’ve personally picked. The Jaded Lover cocktail was so delicious and refreshing. We loved every single bite we had, but our favorite was the sesame beef bao. The oxtail noodles were absolutely delicious (although I had never had oxtail and was intimidated but so glad I tried). Not to mention we were 20 minutes late for our reservation due to traveling and the hostess was so understanding and helpful. Our server had great recommendations as well. We can’t wait to come back 🍀🐆
