Welcome to Madrina, where we focus on seasonal products and authentic ingredients from Spain to reimagine a menu that marries innovation and fun with Barcelona classics.

Our 37ft bar serves sangria, cocktails, and traditional tapas. In true Catalonian fashion, the bar features a ham carving station and a Spanish-style glass display case with cold bar delicacies. The open kitchen provides a window into the work from the brilliant team behind the menu, offering modern interpretations of traditional Catalonian tapas.

We are proud to be the first restaurant in Canada to earn the coveted "Restaurants from Spain" certification, identifying Madrina for the use of authentic Spanish ingredients and techniques. We are also thrilled to have been part of the Michelin Guide in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Our wine list showcases many beautiful Spanish grape varieties and regions, including some indigenous grapes, while our famed cocktail list features wonderfully creative cocktails.

The first impression was disappointing—the hostess was very unfriendly. On the positive side, our waiter was friendly and attentive. The lobster was excellent, but we didn’t enjoy the rest of the food. The octopus was dry, and the mashed potatoes served with it were overly sour. Overall, the experience didn’t feel worth the price. The tables are packed too close together, and waitstaff are constantly moving behind you, which felt intrusive.

This place felt like they were trying to chase an ideal and tripped. The food was fine but not Michelin or even Toronto standard imho. Staffing was the biggest shortcoming. It felt like our server hadn't worked in the food service industry. Food presentation was fine (smoke reveal is corny now) but the flavors were soft. It's basically just a tourist restaurant. Looks cute tho.

Truly enjoyed a smaller tasting plate to share yesterday. The timing of each of the 5 courses is perfect and made for a lovely lunch.

Loved it, food and sangria were excellent and our server was great. Our only complaint was that the blinding sun coming through the window and it was a bit chilly in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend it and will come back.
