   Our entire experience was amazing. Our waitress was AMAZING. I hate I can't remember her name. We are new to sushi, and are picky because of the texture and aren't advanced into raw yet so we tried the ranger roll. It was delicious to the point we want to return for another one today. The only thing we did not like was the Miso soup. We expected the clear stuff like at the corner spots. This was not it. But our wonderful waitress switched us to salads with no hesitation. I had the teriyaki chicken and my husband had the ribeye. The food was well seasoned, great quality and exceeded expectations. We ended our meal with the fried cheesecake, and it was another win. We cannot wait to return. This is definitely Anderson's hidden gem.

   I love Maki and it is some of the best sushi I've had. If you've never been and love sushi you need to try it.

   In all honesty, this was some of the best seafood I’ve had in South Carolina. Everything was extremely fresh and prepared to perfection. Got extremely lucky finding this place, but will definitely return.

   This is typically one of my go-to restaurants for a special occasion, but I wouldn’t recommend going at a peak time. The service was a lot slower than usual for both wait staff and food. Also, I noticed that the portion sizes are a lot smaller when I previously went about three months ago. I would not recommend the calamari. The large pieces were on the borderline of tender/chewy, but the smaller pieces were inedible.

   Megan, I appreciate the review. I would've preferred that the server would have notified management so that your poor experience could've been rectified, I will speak to the kitchen staff about the preparation of the calamari. This server will be spoken to about the slow service. Again, we take this as feedback and appreciate the review. Hopefully, this one-off experience does not stop you from choosing us to help celebrate future special occasions.

   I eat here often and our experience is almost always great. On this occasion, We arrived just ahead of our reservation time of 730. Unfortunately, a party was lingering longer than expected so our table was not ready on time. After waiting 10-15 additional minutes, the manager found an alternate table for us and comped us an appetizer. Our server was new-ish and did ok but could have probably used another day of training before going solo. Overall, a good experience that was just slightly disappointing initially.

    My husband and I go there often and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Service has always been wonderful as well but, last night our waitress was not the best from start to finish. We sat for a solid 10 minutes before she came over, she got drink order wrong even after repeating it back, and she would disappear for long stretches of time. We would see other tables’ wait staff constantly walking by and checking their tables but our waitress rarely checked on us and let our drinks completely run out. Hopefully she was just new and inexperienced.
