My wife and I had a great experience at Makiin this evening. Fantastic service, ambience, drinks, and food. Although it’s an hour away, we will definitely be back.

Went early to have choice of seats, which are all very comfortable. Lovely atmosphere. server very attentive, even though the restaurant filled up as the night went on. Not over whelming number of choices, but nice variety of their take on Thai food. But this isn't street food, This is very upscale Thai food. Presentation of dishes was amazing. Helpings were plentiful and tasty. None of the dishes we had were too spicy, but I am sure you can adjust according to your taste. My only disappointment was the Creme Brule for dessert. Rather mediocre and served cold, not hot as I am used to. But that one thing could not spoil an otherwise notable meal. We will go back.

The food and service were fantastic! The mood of the restaurant was vibrant yet calming at the same time. Overall, the food was some of the best Thai food I’ve eaten in Houston. We will definitely be going back!
