   Fun night out. Great food. Waiter was wondering and brought the food out slowly so we could really enjoy the experience.

   Food and the ambiance was perfect. We went for dinner on a Friday night and there was a DJ. Food was so flavorful but I wasn’t a fan of my drink. But, overall it was a great experience and will definitely return.

   We did the weekend buffet and tried most of the dishes. Ambiance was great. It felt authentic and gave us an elevated feel of Thai cuisine. Food presentation was impeccable. We came at a slower time around 12:45-1pm. We were seated right away. We looked at the menu for a while. Server was busy and warned us that kitchen is busy so we might experience some delay in the service. We did 3 follow up calls before getting asked to order drinks. They forgot my husband’s drink, and appetizer for a while. We tried to order another round of tom yum soup and drunken noodles, server acknowledged but we never got the noodles so we ended up cancelling the order. Overall great food, wish they had enough staff to anticipate a busy lunch especially with an attractive promotion. Okay to experience at least once but not sure if I would go back for the buffet.

   Got excited to come here after seeing the all you can eat Thai lunch menu. Ended up being the second group seated at noon. Ordered our dishes, 12:40 comes around we have only received Brussels sprouts out of the 6 things we ordered. Everyone who was seated 20 minutes after us had their meals, including ones we had ordered coming out. Asked the server she seemed not worried about it saying she’s still waiting because the kitchen was busy. Asked to speak to the manager but they were too busy cooking to come speak with us. Don’t recommend wasting your time here when nobody seems worried about why it takes 45 minutes to make papaya salad.

   I am not a fan of the black interior and the disco music, but the food was good and the service was very rapid and attentive. My Tom ka Gai was served at best only luke warm and cooled quickly thereafter. My wife's soup was cold and she said it was tasteless but the shrimp in it was good. My salmon main course was very good as was my wife's main course. We like Makiin, but it is a tad expensive because of its location and the decor. My all time favorite Thai restaurant was Pok Pok in Portland, Or. It was in a run down shed of a building but the cuisine inside served one of the best meals I have eaten anywhere in the world. You do not need fancy if your cooking is great.

    We had dinner at Makiin with a couple of friends and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. There was a live band playing in the adjacent room behind the bar, so it was a bit loud. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The waiter was attentive & service was good. Since our reservation was at 6 PM (Happy hour ends at 7 PM, I think?), we were able to order some cocktail drinks from the Happy hour menu at 1/2 price (average price was $9 per drink as opposed to $18). We ordered Hua Hin Mango (highly recommended), Mystiny, Pu Lae pineapple drinks & all were quite good. We also had double-order dishes to share — lemongrass chicken skewers, shrimp crispy cakes which was “so so”, hot basil mussel, ocean salad, papaya salad, drunken noodle, and Thai Street noodle magic. My 2 favorite dishes were the ocean salad & hot basil mussels. We were too stuffed by the end of our dinner and did not order dessert. Though, I have had their mango sticky rice dessert previously & it’s quite good.
