I have requested to be seated in the low chairs since I am pregnant but they have refused to transfer us. There were still available seats on low chairs when we arrived, with the same number of seats we require as a group. My friends who arrived first, my husband & I tried to speak to them regarding my case but they just ignored our request saying our seats can't be moved.

The food was pretty good however the service was extremely poor. We had to ask for menus and shout at servers to order food. They barely said a word to us the whole evening.

Ramen came after 40 minutes. Ordered Tantanmen Ramen which supposed to have a nutty flavor in it but no trace of nutty flavor in the ramen. Requested to add Chasu in one of the ramen but they were forgotten. When reminded them, we have to wait once again. Tempura didn’t taste fresh and the karaage were salty. This is our first visit to Makira but didn’t feel the value for money. The place is not that big compared to other japanese restaurant but unfortunately they were not able to accommodate the guests in a timely manner.

We were there for lunch. Place is on the ground floor of DUSIT and has a unique setting overlooking SZR. While the overall menu is not too big, the food is fresh and tasty. Would recommend for a quiet meal. Place doesn’t serve alcohol.
