    The service was poor at Malone’s Palomar. The server had too many people / tables to take care of properly. We were a two person table and received the lowest level of service of all the servers tables. Additionally, we ordered a dessert which was heated. When it was brought to our table, it had been placed on an ice cold plate which felt as though it had come out of a refrigerator or freezer which resulted in the dessert getting cold very quickly when it was designed to be served warm. Overall, very disappointing service from a restaurant supposedly of Malone’s caliber. This is the second time in a row we have received subpar service from this restaurant. Initially thought it was a one off. Now I think it is a trend and would not recommend this location.

    Malones is always consistent and a good experience. Our server and assistant really took great care of us and certainly made our usual, good experience with Malones, even better. The filet is my usual go to and also must recommend that you not sleep on the Lexingtonian salad that comes with the filet.

    The service was excellent, the steak was very tender. The appetizer was very salty and peppery - it was the hot crab dip. I would not order it again which is a shame because I think it would have been fine if it wasn't overseasoned. Same for the steak, very tender didn't even need a knife to cut it really but it was so salty that I took most of it home so I could rinse it off to be palatable.
