Marcella's Italian Kitchen is a bustling, urban burst of Italian flavor and energy.     We LOVE CMR group restaurants and I must say up front that this experience is not what we normally experience at their restaurants. We arrived a bit early and were seated immediately- this was nice and the norm for reservations. The server took orders for drinks and appetizers. The apps came out before drinks. After the apps came it took another 10-15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Also normally we are brought a bread basket upon ordering. This did not occur, even after server said he would bring bread and drinks. The calamari came out with some of the veggies clumped together with raw dough. When we pointed it out we were ignored. Then before we finished with apps our meals came out and were brought by someone other than server. Very strange and awkward - shuffling dishes and balancing table space. Then our server took a very long time to check on us. No fresh grated cheese was offered. No bread brought - this was after specifically asking the food runner for bread. We weee told that they would tell our server. No one came back to see if we wanted more drinks. We had to flag down our server and ask for a wine list and for grated cheese. Then the wine order took a long time to be delivered to the table. We were mostly finished with dinner! All in all, a very disappointing experience!

    Our server took 15 minutes to greet us. She forgot our appetizer and never even realized. The runner brought it out after our food only when we asked about it. Our server didn’t check on us when our food arrived. We have been here many times and had an enjoyable experience. This time was extremely disappointing I would not recommend Marcella’s in the future

    We had a reunion dinner/lunch for friends and family this past Sunday, December 1. We were allowed to stay as long as we liked, and when it was time for them to reseat our table because it was a large one, those of us remaining were asked to move and we were given complimentary desserts and drinks for the inconvenience. This was really above and beyond. We appreciated it so much.♥️

    Lovely, cozy restaurant. We eat here every time we visit Columbus. Great food, nice atmosphere, always a pleasant experience. The bolognese sauce is to die for. The veal meatball tonight was new and amazing.
