The Marina View formally known as The Boathouse is a stunning restaurant & bar, overlooking Lake Windermere, providing a picturesque environment for dining.

Serving fresh, original, everyday eating on the shores of Lake Windermere, the menu includes traditional British favorite's. Enjoy a coffee, light lunch or something a little more substantial as you unwind with a drink overlooking the boats on Windermere Marina Village. Why not join us for simply great fresh food and fine wine in a contemporary, relaxed and informal setting.

The restaurant is open:
Friday - Monday from 9am serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Tuesday - Thursday from 11am serving lunch and dinner.

**PARKING AVAILIABLE FOR ALL CUSTOMERS OF THE BOATHOUSE** - Marina car park available for all Boathouse customers (Please call for a code we will need your car registration please have it to hand)

    Nice atmosphere, right in the Marina.. made great by excellent, friendly, attentive staff and tasty food at good prices. The thai mussels, chilli prawns, fish and chips were all lovely. We left with big smiles all round.

    We had a lovely time and will certainly be returning! I would advise booking ahead though as it was quite busy. Exceptional food and a good range of menu options!

    From arrival to departure, the experience was excellent. We were offered complimentary Prosecco on arrival as it was Mother’s Day. The food was delicious, the service was exemplary and the value for money was very good. The upper floor balcony, with the views it provided was amazing. Definitely worth a visit. Will definitely return.

    Can’t get a better location than this in Windermere, especially when the sun is shining. Food was perfect, staff very attentive. We will be back!

    Our experience at the boat house was poor. We have traveled from Glasgow for the night and pre booked dinner. Our booking was for 7:30pm and when arrived were notified they close at 8pm. I ordered a pornstar martini and the girl behind the bar vocally told her staff members how she didn’t want to make that and wanted to make another drink? The boy came over to take our order the time now being 7:45pm and openly said “ the chef is going to kill me for this”. We are not from the area and if had known wouldn’t have booked for 7:30pm. We had to leave and find somewhere else for food as we had been travelling and were looking forward to the meal. The menu online doesn’t match the menu in the restaurant. They offer only 5 main courses and don’t offer the steak etc that is advertised on the menu. This was a really poor evening and bookings should not be allowed at this time knowing food cannot be prepared to a standard and making customers feel like they are unwelcome. Unfortunately this has ruined our opinion and will not be back.
