   Went there after visiting the Mint Museum, food was great and worth the moderate wait time. It was a nice lounge and very energetic.

   This is our favorite restaurant in Charlotte! The dishes are creative and unique, and everything tastes amazing. We love how even the standard fare gets updated with seasonal twists (the paella can feature different seafood and shellfish -- we loved the oysters this time around!). All of the staff are incredibly knowledgable about the menu and very friendly -- which really makes the dining experience special.

   I have literally never had a bad experience at Mariposa! Both the lunch and dinner menu are fantastic, the service is impeccable, and the drinks are amazing!

   Seating was terrible. Couches seat people low. Chairs seat people high. So half of your party is 12 years n he’s lower than the other half. Food is ok. Not worth the money.

   The ambiance and noise level were very pleasing for our personal conversations. The service was very good, except when they brought the dishes out, there were no utensils to serve them with, as these were sharable dishes. The "Feta salad" was just large pieces of feta, tomato, cucumbers, and olives. There was no seasoning, and I left most of it. The cauliflower dish was very tasty, as was the crostini. The cod, oyster, shrimp, and sausage paella dish had some problems! The paella was so bland that I didn't eat it, but the other guest asked for fresh lemon to season it some. The sausage was buried in the paella and he oysters were tiny and stuck to the shell.

    The food was very good. Portions were just right. Drinks were good. The server was very friendly and attentive. Would go back and will recommend to others.
