We will drive in Chicago’s worst traffic to dine here. We tried almost everything and OMG was it all simply divine. The staff are so considerate and efficient with suggesting what to order and how. The flavors are incredible. I woke up craving ceviche this morning. Bravo Mariscos San Pedro!!

The service is definitely 5 stars. I ordered the plantain tacos and the plantains were well cooked but the spice level was so hot that I could only eat one. The person with me who enjoys spicy food also thought it was over the top. On the other hand, her fish tacos were excellent and the quantity of both was good. The size of the fresh sardines (which are difficult to find in most restaurants) was excellent, but needed seasoning including salt and olives were the only flavor you could taste.

Lovely dinner on our fourth time visiting this great addition to our neighborhood. Enjoyed the updates to the menu and appreciated their willingness to accommodate our party. Mussels were particularly delicious.

The Tacomakase experience is truly exceptional. The food in incredible and creative, the chefs take time to talk to each diner about each dish, and watching everything being prepared in front of you in the wood-fired oven is great. The wine pairing and sommelier was also excellent and show how Mexican wines shine. A lot of tasting menus leave you a little hungry, but you will absolutely be filled up at the end. 11/10 would recommend.

Mariscos San Pedro has quickly became one of my favorite restaurants. It’s usually pretty easy to grab a reservation or to grab a seat at the bar. Armando is an incredible bartender and there cocktail and wine lists has something for everyone. On my last visit, Heaven was our server and she recommended the perfect amount of food for our group. My favorites were definitely the Tuna Tostada, Sonoran hot dog, the mussels and the crispy snapper. Make sure to save room for dessert, because their pastry chef is truly doing some wonderful things on their menu. I’m excited to return for their new taco omakase menu soon!
