   We were visiting Stockton to see a show. I was excited when I discovered the restaurant because we are gluten-free. Their menu was clearly marked that they had a wide selection of gluten-free options. The appetizers we ordered were outstanding. The deviled eggs and the wings were delicious. Our drinks came a little late after the appetizers were served. Our waitress seemed very aloof and uninterested in being there. Our meals were good, not great. I had the short ribs and my husband had the king salmon. When the food runner brought our main dishes, they were placed in front of us and they walked away, never asking if there was anything we needed. The appetizers were the star of the show. Our waitress barely came back to check on us, we had to flag her down to get our second drink. When the food runner brought our main dishes. They were placed in front of us and they walked away. Never asking if there was anything we needed. In total, my husband had two glasses of wine. I had two cocktails. We had two appetizers and two main dishes and the total pre-tip was $171 dollars. I will say this, if the service was better, more personable, more friendly, our overall value would’ve increased for our food in the experience. The ambience was enjoyable, even though it was a bit loud. When you’re paying for a top dollar meal you should expect top dollar service to justify the price.

   It’s time for an update to the seating and in main dining. Too tight to sit and furniture and lighting getting a bit long in the tooth! People, food, management - great.

   My best friend and I chose to eat her second meal here as we were staying for the weekend in Stockton. The food was tremendous. The service was outstanding! We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

   We got to visit market tavern for my grandmothers birthday and unfortunately it wasn’t the experience I was hoping. The food was excellent but the service was horrible. Our waitress was very dismissive and rushed our whole experience. We had to ask the young lady that brought our food out if we could have some bread & crushed red peppers, and had to constantly look for someone to refill our waters. We got dessert to celebrate my grandmothers birthday and our waitress brought it out to us before we were done with dinner. I heard so many good things about this restaurant so it’s disappointing to have a bad experience, luckily the food was still very delicious. Don’t recommend it for special occasions.

   We had a delicious dinner for our anniversary date. Our server Abril recommended a great appetizer and entrees, she was so sweet and kind. We’ll be coming back for special occasions or maybe just for the chicken pot pie, delicious!

   This is the second time I have visited with a lot of problems in the last 3 months. The food has been subpar and inconsistent by being under cooked (sausage, bacon, pancakes, and eggs) or finding random things in food (sticks, staples, etc). I have been pretty concerned and sadden about it. While taking a few dollars off is good, I am not feeling like I should come back.

   The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Kept in touch every 20 minutes. The food was delicious and tasty. Will definitely come back.

    Great space to catch up with old friends! We had brunch and drinks and we were able to talk and hear one another. I had the smoked pig Bloody Mary and Huevos Rancheros along with griddled cornbread appetizer. Delicious
