   Last minute reservation. Service was outstanding. The "specials" list was almost as long as the regular menu, and it would be really helpful to have it printed rather than trying to remember the server's recitation. That said, the food was excellent, with even an option to order off the menu. (Great Carbonara, not on the menu.) Excellent wine.

   Dined at Masseria East with an old friend last night. The mozzarella farcita was very good as was the Fedelini primavera. Excellent wine list. The owner is very knowledgeable about the wines and available to suggest options. Our waiter was busy but still managed to be attentive to our table.

   Prices have gone crazy, value not there even though everyone enjoyed their meal. Wine prices off the charts, $8.50 for tea!

   We chose Masseria East because of the many 5 star reviews in all categories. We knew it was pricey but for my birthday dinner, we thought we'd splurge a bit. We were warmly welcomed as we arrived. The host wanted to give us a table all the way in the rear, in a little alcove type space but there was a perfectly good table right across from the bar, so we took that. Our alcoholic drinks were fine. We ordered the scallops with artichokes for an appetizer, which were very good and a generous portion. For the pasta we ordered linguini al vongole, very good, and the restaurant split it up for my husband and I to share. For Entrees we ordered veal scallopine (very good) and my husband and I shared a generous portion of Coniglio, or rabbit. Very rare to find rabbit on the menu. It was made cacciatore style but was very under-seasoned––bland even, though the meat itself was tender. Very disappointing. We shared apple streudel (good!) and had coffee. Meanwhile, our water glasses were never refilled, and while the restaurant nicely split the pasta for us, they brought it at the same time as the entrees; and while they served me a portion of the duck, they never brought another plate for my husband and he had to remove his pasta bowl to utilize the dinner plate underneath, which was awkward, and we didn't have a lot of room on the table for all those plates. So services was definitely lacking. Food was overpriced but portions generous; generally good except the rabbit. We liked the ambience and restaurant itself, but we expected better for this 5 star reviewed restaurant.

    Our group of 6 enjoyed a sumptuous meal celebrating my sister’s birthday. We had drinks, many courses and shared salads, mains and desserts. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waiter was very efficient, friendly and professional. I look forward to returning for another fabulous meal
