   Crab cakes were a mix of crab and fish. Good thing my wife knows the difference. Had to return the crab cakes since I do not eat fish. They crammed every table they could into the restaurant. We could literally eat with the folks at the next table. It was Christmas Eve, so the crowd was expected. We had the Crème Brûlée however, it was rather runny.

   While the steaks were not cooked at the temps requested, it was not worth sending back mine was acceptable the other was not but still ate it and was still pretty enjoyable. Cesar salad with the very stale croutons was a miss, the scalloped potatoes were amazing. My cocktail was not ok but again, drank it, just was not worth complaining about. Overall it was good, been several times before. Will go back but no rush.

   The food was great, glad that the scalloped potatoes are back on the menu, and improved. We had the sea bass and filet with broccolini l, French onion soup and the potatoes. Was disappointed that the corkage fee is up over 120% vs last time we brought a bottle. Would have chosen to leave the bottle at home and skip the uber rides back and forth.

   We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and bread service. But after that all was perfect and the meal was fabulous. We arrived at 4:30 so maybe we got there when they were getting the food out to the 4:00 crowd. We will be back!

   Wonderful experience! Mastro’s cuisine was delicious and the service was superb. That being said be prepared to pay top dollar for the meal.

   For all Mastros - charging for bread is ridiculous, When we dropping $200 at dinner. I get maybe u gotta charge the hos at the bar when that’s all they order but when we sit and order steak bring some fuxking bread. And stop being a place where hos are welcome. For this Mastros - if you have 3 people at host stand and it’s dead don’t leave me standing in the entrance waiting almost 10 minutes to sit down. Shouldn’t take 10 minutes to get a martini when it’s dead on a Sunday night. You need a good gravy for the mashed potatoes. Give me a sub $20 mushroom option to go with my steak. The piano player at this location was incredible!

    I have been to Mastero’s Beverly Hills many times, however this visit wasn’t the Mastero’s experience I’m used to. Oof our guest was served their cocktail in a glass that was chipped, which would have cut his lip if he hadn’t caught it. The food was nothing special and the noise/music level too high to enjoy casual conversation. I was surprised that out experience was not stellar given the nearby competition.
