Food was delicious. Two of us ordered the pork chop and one ordered the fluke, which was outstanding. Service was excellent. We will be going back!

Not the dining experience it used to be. We asked to order our appetizers and get more time to decide our entrees and were told no chef doesn’t like it that way.

Another excellent experience at Max’s Downtown. Love the vibe. Pre-UConn game is always hopping. Our favorite server, Pete took great care of us. Tasty cocktails and delicious, fresh food once again. Love the fresh oysters and Ahi tuna. Thank Max’s. Always a treat.

The beauty of eating at Max Downtown is the consistency of the experience. You can be absent from Max Downtown for months yet the next time you visit the service, quality of food and familiarity of the staff is as if you were part of their daily routine. I can’t say enough about how the service staff welcomes me and my guests every time I visit. In addition the complimentary valet staff is top shelf . Thank you Steve and team for making Max Downtown a place I can count on.

Fish was cooked to perfection, however sides were mediocre with flavor. Service was great, but busier night so slightly slow.

Our server Mike !!! 100/100 ! The hospitality was on point , the mangers came out when we weren’t satisfied with our food and handled it timely and with precision! Overall birthday experience 9/10. I frequent maxes all the time for regular occasions and they never miss! Thank you for welcoming me and my family. I appreciate everything! And give Mike a raise !!! 💕

We always look forward to an evening at Max Downtown and were once again delighted. Our server Logan was outstanding, letting us enjoy our cocktails while unobtrusively checking in from time to time to see if were were ready to order. Perfect. The Colossal Shrimp is consistently among the best we've had and our entrees were cooked to perfection. The Ahi Tuna Au Poivre is highly recommended - Logan indicated it's a relatively new addition to the menu and I suspect it will be quite popular. Great table, great server, great food - Bravo Max (and Logan)!
