Welcome to Maypop! - the sister establishment to the award winning Mid-City restaurant MOPHO. Located two blocks from the Super Dome and only one block from Poydras street, it features Southeast Asian inspired southern cuisine and focuses on hand made pastas and house charcuterie paired with Gulf seafood, local produce and hand ground curries. I’m very glad I finally made it back to Maypop and brought my family this time. I was here pre-pandemic for a work dinner and was blown away. It has totally held up. Amazing flavors in perfectly sized portions. Fantastic, attentive service. An all around lovely experience and I highly recommend!

Loved our experience! Highly recommend The Grand Tasting menu. Everything was fantastic, unique flavors and great combinations plus the perfect amount of food. Great for a wedding anniversary dinner and also recommend going for happy hour cocktails. Great service!

Maypop is one of our go-tos, especially before events at The Orpheum. Always enjoy their Asian-inspired take on classic NOLA fare. Great cocktails. Terrific service.

Maypop’s food was delightful. The fusion experience introduced us to various foods, textures that were delicious. The ribeye, duck and pork belly melted in our mouths and we left no crumbs :). We were underwhelmed by the service— when ordering she re-read descriptions off the menu vs explaining sauces or adding anything to enhance our understanding of what we were ordering. During the meal we often having to prompt for drink refills and long stretches where there was no check in (we likely would have ordered more drinks had she checked/suggested). Overall atmosphere was great, food was delicious, service this go around left things to be desired but we will be back!

Maypop is always a good place to share an incredible meal. The flavors are bright, ambitious and very different than most in New Orleans. The pork belly and coconut grits was and explosion of wonderful flavors. The crusted drum over spicy chow chow was a combination of exotic profiles. When you get tired of of the same old same old creole NOLA cuisine try this popular destination

We just had our first dinner experience at Maypop, but it certainly won’t be the last. Our food was outstanding. Perfectly prepared with gorgeous fresh ingredients. Standouts were the tandoori drum and miso butterscotch panna cotta. Our server was wonderful, too.

I have been wanting to come to maypop for awhile. I wanted to support them due to their unfortunate closure for weeks due to the building collapsing across street. It was amazing! The food, the service, and the extremely nice and helpful staff. We both had the chef’s meal so we could try a variety of dishes. Every thing was so good. The flavors were amazing. I will be back. Hopefully the street will reopen soon, but it was well worth navigating the street closures to get there!!!!
