   My husband and I visited sunday 27th at 4.30pm with our 3 year old. The sunday dinner was shocking. It came too quickly, therefore we suspected it wasnt fresh. The potatoes had been reheated and the meat was clearly from a cheap joint. My daughters chicken was dry. With all this said, we did eat it and no we didnt comment at the time when the waiter asked if everything was ok. We were hungry and we ate it. The freshest thing on our plate was the vegetables. For £20 per adult, the dinner was VERY disappointing and i will not be recommending.

The team of Chefs freshly prepare all lunches, the reason yours arrived quickly, we had a large party of 20 around the same time .We served your table first, to prevent a longer wait with a small child. We check back on all tables to ensure everything is satisfactory and we would happily address and rectify any issues if we had been made aware at the time.    This a great example of a English pub. Plenty of room and there different dining areas which are themed. Food is as described and well presented. Simple food done well. Staff are attentive and friendly.

   Beautiful pub and lovely food . Took a while to get served . We ordered vegan pizza and a vegetarian cane out .was sorted promptly tbf but a bit annoying . Food did arrive in good time though . Would come back but I think you need more staff on if a busy weekend . Thank you

   Thoroughly average all round. Had high hopes for the pizzas, but they were underwhelming. Nobody checked if we were happy with our food. I've been a couple of times before and enjoyed their other offerings, so would perhaps just skip pizza.

   First time eating here as we are local and been meaning to try out the crown for ages. The service was really friendly little bit of a delay getting the food and being able to order but the server was lovely. Had the full roast and wow.. this was amazing. Can honestly say this was the best Sunday lunch we have had out ever and will 100 percent be back. All fresh ingredients and made from scratch amazing.

    Not very busy at all but the service was very slow, had to get my own menus and chase to order. Then the food was average. I asked for a take away pizza box but it took so long we just left. Not great service at all.
