   We came from Philly to cerebrate a special birthday and everything was delightful & delicious! Great service and fabulous food! Octopus appetizer , seafood paella were to die for.

   We recently returned to this restaurant after five years. We no longer live near Princeton but were there for an event and remembered how much we had liked the restaurant in the past. We left very disappointed. The issue was regarding a complaint about the food. We both shared the paella which was fine until we tasted the scallops. There was a distinct odor of ammonia. Since I am aware that this indicates the scallop is “off” and going bad which is not only unpleasant but a possible health hazard, I immediately told the waiter. We had pulled the scallops from the dish which we handed to him. He did the right thing and took them to the chef. He returned saying the chef said they were fresh, having been delivered today. The rest of the dish was fine so we continued to eat. I presumed that any other scallops would not be served but subsequently saw two other orders of paella ( with scallops) delivered to the table near us. I politely went over to the manager and told him that his scallops were spoiling and should not be served. His response was “I will take care of it “ and he did nothing. When the check came there was a “goodwill” discount of a value less than that of the paella. I told the waiter to inform the manager that I would pay for the food that wasn’t spoiled and tipped him on the entire amount. We left with no apology from the manager and I am sure he did not take us seriously. Hopefully no patrons got sick. We will not be returning to this restaurant which we used to like.

   Ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken breast came not sliced and when I sent it back to be sliced I could see it was still raw on the inside. Sent the whole thing back. Since when do restaurants charge for bread? Mediterra is expensive. For a small rice bowl with veggies and one egg you pay $28. The affogato coffee uses Italian ice cream which is all water. Very bad.

   We had a wonderful early Christmas lunch! The staff is exceptional! The menu offers a great variety of options and the food was delicious! We would highly recommend Mediterra!

    Mediterra is one of our favorite restaurants in Princeton. Very consistent in their servings and menu options. For starters we went for the Humus and Calamari and they were great options as appetizers. We ordered Paella for our group of 5 and it was outstanding and authentic. Everyone in our group loved it.
