   Ours was a double birthday dinner: we ordered the appetizers, and we were all pleased with them! We had an excellent Lebanese Rose wine as well. The noise level was moderate, and we could enjoy our conversation. The restaurant had thoughtfully given us a corner table, but near the kitchen and next to windows on two sides, which afforded a nice view. The wait staff served quietly and efficiently. Everyone commented on how they enjoyed the restaurant and what a good time they were having.

   Food was really bad. The calamari were cold and full of garlic. The branzino was sour and again soaked in garlic. It used to be a great place.

   We went for the prix fixe Valentine's dinner, a splurge. The excellent: - Service - Cocktails - spread platter - rose at table The good - Seafood entre. Fresh and delicious, but a little too much butter, I think; The bad: - beet salad (lettuce did not seem especially fresh) - Deserts, but the tiramisu and creme brulee were disappointing.

   The service was very good. Almost too good, actually. The appetizers and main courses arrived VERY quickly. They were obviously ready to plate (or pre-plated) in preparation for the big night. Not really a complaint but it almost felt like we were being pushed out of the restaurant as soon as we sat down. But the first two courses were both excellent (hummus plate and grilled halloumi for the apps and mixed grill and fish for the main courses). Both desserts (tiramisu and crème brûlée) were letdowns. The cake could have been bought from a grocery store and the brûlée, while very creamy, did not have the rich sweet flavor it needed. Consequently, the cost was more than I’d hoped for while having to pay for substandard desserts.

   The experience was impeccable from the reception , to the courteous attentive staff, to the delicious food, to the beautiful decor and the spacious dining room with a low noise level, to the validated parking. This restaurant is a gem in this nice neighborhood.

   This was an early Valentine date: dinner and the symphony. We had the 3 course grille dinner for 2 and it was perfect. I must give great credit to the bartender for mixing a perfect Manhattan. That is an easy drink to mess up and they nailed it!!!
