   Lovely and friendly staff. My Thai parents loved the authentic flavors of Thailand with a cool twist. I’ve been a few times and have loved the uniqueness of each dish. Cocktails are also amazing.

   Outstanding service, incredible value. Food is very good (8/10) but for the price point I'd give it 10/10. Cocktails are excellent (10/10). Service is reason enough to go back. Cozy but not cramped, lively but not loud. Nontraditional cuisine, so maybe not for the "steak and potatoes only" crowd but otherwise would recommend to anyone.

   Everything was great except for the drinks curated by the special guest mixologist. The best drinks at Merai are their house cocktails and we weren’t able to order them. However, the food and staff were amazing as always.

   Stunningly good food, very innovative Thai fusion. My spouse and I agreed that the hot dog was probably the best hot dog we'd ever had. The pork dumplings were also outstanding - tangy, slightly spicy with yuzu and greens on top. The mussels were solid, with a delicious sauce, which we didn't waste a drop of. Cocktails were excellent and creative. I don't normally go for sweet cocktails, but the strawberry cheesecake was outstanding. Finally, their one dessert (a flan with coconut sorbet) was subtle and so good that we got two instead of sharing one.

    Huge shoes to fill (Matt Murphy’s was an institution and was run by the best). Delicious, creative menu - we especially loved the terra fries, the dumplings, the kale and yes the hot dog. Drinks were very imaginative, though a little on the sweet side, a few more wine options would also be nice. Noise level was higher than one would hope and required your concert voice for the entirety of the meal. Last criticism - do away with QR code menu. Nothing worse than meeting friends and everyone immediately having to put their nose in their phones. But the food - will be back for sure!
