   Our group of eight Coffee Club girls had our Christmas lunch at Merricks store today and we loved it. Everything was perfect! The setting, the food and friendly service made for a most enjoyable day. We will certainly be back!

   We just love everything about eating at Merricks General Store, the atmosphere is always buzzing, they regularly change their menu, they grow a lot of their own produce and the wines are all local. Today's lunch was no exception, my snapper was the best I have eaten in life. My partner had the porchetta and it was also cooked to perfection. We also like they employ a lot of young kids who take their job seriously, provided an awesome service. We would highly recommend eating here.

   This was not our first visit. This venue is always very reliable! My wife was disappointed with the so called salad that came with the Baramundi. My burger was terrific and our guest chicken pie was also very much enjoyed.

   Merricks is a favorite spot. Food and service was wonderful as always. Lunch today was top notch delicious! Never disappoints, we will be back to try the new menu soon.

   Lovely place, lovely staff total shame about the poor expensive food, don’t mind paying for good quality but very disappointed would not eat here again. Menu is limited, my chicken pie was poor, under cooked pastry three bites of chicken, sauce was disappointing, french fries were tasteless and my husband said the burger was average at best.

    We needed to wait for our booking while the table was cleared, even though we were 10 minutes late. There were plenty of staff but maybe it was the table location as we needed to catch someone's eye for service. We asked for medium rare steak but perhaps because it was on the bone it was pretty red, and tepid, even acknowledging resting time needed. We asked for a bit more cooking and some heat to generate the flavour you'd hope for when you're paying $50 for a steak. The steaks came back with hotter fries too. The total bill was $360 for main course and two sides with three glasses of bubbly and two desserts (plus tip, because the young staff are lovely and need it!) . Lovely ambience for a weekend lunch, and an excellent chocolate torte.
