   We had another outstanding evening at Merriman’s. Our party included a vegan and a gluten allergy, and the staff bend over backwards to accommodate us and make us feel welcome, even up to personal visits to our table from the chef. The food was fantastic as always, and service outstanding. This is why we keep coming back!

   I love Merriman’s. If I had a last meal on Earth, it would the chicken from Merriman’s. Their service is always on point, great drinks, and everything they cook tastes like it was made just for you. I take everyone to Merriman’s when they visit from Hawaii or the Mainland.

   Excellent food and service. The lobster pot pie was out of this world—filled with perfectly-cooked scallops and lobster, accompanied by tiny half-potato rounds and mushrooms, swimming in a rich, beautifully spiced cream sauce, and topped with a pastry chef’s masterpiece of a crust, scored into diamonds and baked to a golden sheen, dusted with herbs, and lightly salted. Brilliant! It was plenty for 2, but we didn’t know, so my husband ordered the mushroom ravioli as well, which was also excellent. Appetizers and dessert were similarly appealing and satisfying. And the service was friendly and attentive, with no hovering but constant awareness. Lovely! But the noise level was a huge negative. We asked for and received what is consider to be one of the 2 “quietest” tables. But even when we practically shouted, we could not always understand one another. And we came away with exhausted as a result. Although the indoors is lovely to look at, and despite the unknown hazards of street noise, outdoor dining is therefore strongly recommended!

   Merriman's Ward is definitely our first preferred spot for wino wine share get togethers. Food's fantastic and approachable and the corkage is still wino friendly compared with other places that have corkage charges set to discourage bringing special bottles to share with friends. We enjoyed a 3 hour commiseration over a bottle of Radio Silence! Servers were attentive but not intrusive--they let us do our wine share thing; very nice and appropriate wine glasses. All in all a place not to be missed. Thanks and mahalo again Merriman's Ward!!

   Was too noisy. I had a hard time hearing the server when he was talking about the specials. I ordered my steak medium rare. I got it almost well done. The tako dish that we usually really enjoy, wasn’t tasty this time.

   One of our favorite restaurants in Hawaii. Food is always delicious, service is always kind, informative and helpful! Great atmosphere, reasonably priced and you absolutely get what you pay for. Make a reservation always packed for a reason. 100% recommend.

   Humus, poke, green bean appetizers, Prime rib special, chicken and mushroom ravioli (provide a bit more tomatoes) we’re sooo good!! Ended our meal with the chocolate purse and flourless cake….must try for chocolate lovers. But our server Francis made the dining experience extra enjoyable! Live music was also nice 🤙

    Open table reservation weeks ago-sat a table in the bar- appetizers came out with meal- sons burger raw -fish and biscuits great -gave us flourless cake as comp bc so many issues. Our last night in Hawaii -
