   We will be coming back to Merriman’s… everything was amazing! First they started us off with a tomato soup amuse bouche and homemade bread, and then we had the Dungeness crab salad & shrimp/pork chow fun to start… hot dang, DO NOT SKIP EITHER OF THESE. The cavatelli & crispy pork shank were absolutely to-die for as well. Goes without saying, but the Mai tai slaps—you are losing if you don’t suck down at least 2 of these.

   Basically would have been great if not having to be seated at bar. Will try again if ever able to secure a regular table. Food was outstanding.

   I had a 6 oz filet and it really had little taste. The waiter had too many tables, thus service was slow.

   This was , perhaps, one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. It was a confluence of several individual aspects of a meal out combining to produce a memorable evening. Leslie was a wonderful server. She was very helpful with the menu and knowledgeable regarding a fish selection about which I had questions. Being quite adamant about only ordering sustainable catch, I was very pleased to see her description matched that of Seafood Watch (yes, I check). The finished product was outstanding ….taste, presentation, and accompaniments all exceeded expectations . The restaurant is lovely and we had the great fortune to be seated at a fabulous table on a partially open terrace. There we were treated to the best seaside whale display I’ve ever seen. Occasionally, the Universe aligns to give one that perfect moment. I hope your Merriman’s experience will be equally magical. We will , of course, be dining here on all future trips to Maui.

   Definitely one of our favorite restaurants on the island. It is pricey, yet the food is soooo good!! We will definitely be back!

    Jasmine was our server and she was amazing. Great explanation of the dishes and great service. We will revisit again.
