    Kimo was a great server. Smash burger and Greek salad were very tasty! A little louder where we sat this time but not bad. Definitely recommend!

    Merrimans on any of the islands never disappoints. The food is fresh, interesting preparations, and killer Mai tais. Service is professional and attentive. My only complaint is prices. Same complaint for any restaurant in Hawaii. Yes I understand the extra cost of transporting food to an island and the high staff costs due to high cost of living here. But $24 for fish tacos? Then add a mandatory 4% service charge and an expected 20% tip? We have noticed considerably reduced numbers of visitors this trip. Getting a last minute reservation at most restaurants isn’t a problem. Gee, I wonder why?

    Merriman’s never disappoints. Excellent service & amazing food. Parking can be a bit challenging as the lot is shared with other businesses. If lot is full, side street parking is easy to find.

    After more than 30 years on the Big Island, today was our first visit to Merriman's and it did not disappoint. We stopped in during the lunch rush and it was quite a hub of activity and chatter. Our 2pm reservation was the perfect energy for our afternoon meal, a bit mellower than the rush hour. Service was impeccable, the meal was even better. We started with the fresh Tomato Bisque- delightfully topped with croutons. Our Smashburgers were perfectly cooked, gratefully not overly stacked with fillings and the accompanying roasted potatoes were delicious: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Cocktails were strong, but not overpowering. We were going to have a second round, but alas with the drive back to Hilo we decided on dessert and Merriman's Blend french press coffee. We hope to make it back soon!

    We had a lovely lunch today. Our server was so friendly and had great recommendations. I had the Greek salad and my husband had the smash burger. Both were delicious!

    Amazing culinary experience with the freshest local produce. Our waitress was fantastic: she explained every dish with enthusiasm and a deep knowledge. We were extremely content with this restaurant choice and highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a unique, delicious gourmet experience
