   This was our third time coming to Mezcaluna in the last year or so. Our first visit we thought the food and drinks were very good. Second time we came with friends and thought it was pretty okay. This time …. a disappointment. We had Mexican Egg Rolls each time. It seems the quality decreases with each visit. Last night there was hardly anything inside the eggrolls. We also had fish tacos which were very difficult to eat due how spicy they were (we love spicy, but this was extreme and from our recall - the degree wasn’t indicated on the menu.). The fish was also very fishy. It was a very uncomfortable eating experience. The fresh squeezed margaritas tasted very tinny as though some part of this was stored in metal. There are quite a few excellent Mexican restaurants around with great food at better prices. Mezcaluna’s adjacency to the mall makes it a good place to stop at while shopping for some but definitely not a destination restaurant in our opinion.

   Food was quite good, and service was great. However, the noise level was so high we could barely hear each other at our table. This was partly due to a very large and boisterous group of birthday celebrants, but even after that group left, it was still quite loud.

   We love this place and the food is amazing! Sadly last night we were stuck in a back corner and it took over 20 minutes to get water and place our order. We had do grab a server not working our table to get attention. Once we got her attention, she took great care of us. Our "assigned server" came by to become buddies with us when it was time to pay/tip! HAHA! We got a good laugh out of that! Next time we will check with the hostess to make sure that we have a server assigned to our table.
